Notice of Vacancy – Depoe Bay City Council

NOTICE is hereby given that a vacancy exists in the office of the City of Depoe Bay City Council Position No. 4. It is expected that Depoe Bay City Council will vote to fill the vacancy at its July 21, 2026
City Council regular meeting. The appointed Council member will serve until December 31, 2026. Should the appointee wish to serve beyond that date, he/she must file candidacy for Depoe Bay City Council Position No. 4 for the November 3, 2026, general election. 

The filing deadline for non-incumbent candidates (other than elected incumbents) is Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Interested candidates for the position of City Councilor should submit an application and resume to the Deputy City Recorder at info [at] cityofdepoebay.org (info[at]cityofdepoebay[dot]org) no later than, July 16, 2026 @ noon. Applications can be picked up at City Hall or download from the City’s website at www.cityofdepoebay.org 

Per the Depoe Bay Charter, eligible candidates for the Depoe Bay City Council must meet the following minimum requirements:
1. Be a registered voter.
2. Have resided within the City boundaries of the City of Depoe Bay for at least one (1) year prior to their appointment and continue to reside in the City of Depoe Bay during their term of office.
