Want to give back to your community? The City has a number of openings on the various City commissions and committees. If you are interested in applying to serve on one or more of these Council-appointed advisory bodies, please download the application below or pick one up at City Hall at 570 SE Shell Avenue M-Th 8:00 AM to 4 PM. Return the application to City Hall or email to info [at] cityofmillersburg.org (info[at]cityofdepoebay[dot]org). All nominees are interviewed and appointed by the City Council at a regularly scheduled meeting on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.


Budget Committee - Five (5) Vacant Positions 
Reviews annual proposed budget, makes recommendations, takes public comment & recommends approval to Council & Urban Renewal Agency.

Harbor Commission - No Vacant Positions
Makes recommendations to City related to Harbor Operations.

Planning Commission - One (1) Vacant Position
Administers the Land Use/Zoning code, reviews applications for land use matters, holds public hearings, enforces standards.

Emergency Preparedness Committee - One (1) Vacant Position                
Advises the Council on emergency preparedness matters to ensure Depoe Bay is in a high state of readiness.

Parks Commission - No Vacant Positions                                               
The Commission recommends and makes suggestions to the City and City Council concerning the planning for future growth, development, and improvement with respect to parks and trails, recommend improvements and maintenance, and recommend proposed leases.

Urban Renewal Agency - Two (2) Vacant Positions                                                
Urban Renewal Agency members also serve on the Urban Renewal Budget Committee
The Urban Renewal Agency was formed to address blight within the City of Depoe Bay. The Council makes up the majority of the Agency; however, two citizen members at large are also part of the Agency.

Salmon Enhancement Commission - One (1) Vacant Position
The Salmon Enhancement Commission seeks to protect and increase the population of salmonids in the city harbor water basin.

Energy Advisory Committee --Two (2) Vacant Positions
The Energy Advisory Committee was formed to develop and recommend a long-term energy policy for consideration by the City Council.
